BRICS+ Fashion Summit in Moscow Attracts 3.5 Million Guests and Viewers

The BRICS+ Fashion Summit concluded in the Russian capital, serving as a hub for designers, fashion brand founders, textile and leather industry representatives, and experts from over 60 countries worldwide. ‘Three and a half million people attended the event or watched the livestreams’, said Natalya Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow. The majority of the program took place in the Moscow Concert Hall ‘Zaryadye’ and the Parking Gallery, with a total area of over 106 thousand square meters.

“The B2B showroom showcased collections from 100 Russian and 30 international brands, including those from China, Brazil, India, Argentina, Nigeria, and Turkey. The professional buyers attending the event praised its high quality, with discussions currently underway for deals totaling 250 million rubles,” shared Natalya Sergunina

The Summit's Business Program was graced by over 220 speakers hailing from various regions including South-Eastern Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and the CIS countries. Their speeches captured the attention of 12,000 attendees. The plenary discussions were particularly popular, focusing on topics such as the expansion of fashion brands into new markets, methods for educating and training future fashion professionals, and use of advanced technologies. In addition to the Business Program, renowned experts and lecturers held a Fashion intensive course, which included 98 lectures and workshops.

Throughout the event, 14 runway shows were organized in several of Moscow’s iconic locations such as the Russian State Library, the Pashkov House, GUM (the State Department Store), the State Historical Museum, and the Patriarshiye Ponds. A total of 325 looks were showcased by models styled by 126 talented stylists and makeup artists.

Alongside the runway shows, the Russian capital hosted various workshops, lectures, and a special exhibition. The festival of short films, known as World Fashion Shorts, was held at the Artplay Design Center as part of the event.
