The international BRICS+ Fashion Summit will be held in the center of Moscow at Concert Hall 'Zaryadye' from August 28 to 30, as part of Moscow Fashion Week.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin highlighted the significance of this event on his blog, stating, "Moscow Fashion Week is the primary and most prominent event in the Russian fashion industry. Participating in the fashion shows offers designers and clothing manufacturers a unique opportunity to increase their visibility and showcase their brands. In 2023, the event expanded into an international platform known as the BRICS+ Fashion Summit," said Moscow Mayor.

The first BRICS+ Fashion Summit drew experts from over 60 countries. Last year, the Summit brought together representatives from the fashion industry and journalists from over 100 countries. The event attracted around 20,000 attendees, with online streams of the Business Program exceeding four million views.

Following the Summit, the BRICS International Fashion Federation was established. Its main goals are to enhance partnerships among industry communities across various countries, foster cultural exchange, and support designers in accessing the global market. Currently, the Federation includes members from 60 countries.

The upcoming BRICS+ Fashion Summit will center on establishing a new, decentralized, and globally competitive fashion industry ecosystem that guarantees a continuous influx of new ideas, trends, and concepts. Over three days, the event will bring together fashion industry pioneers, designers, specialists, and entrepreneurs from BRICS nations, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, North America, Oceania, and the CIS region.

Experts will discuss the key drivers for advancing the fashion industry across BRICS countries and beyond. The program will include discussions on the fashion economy, the growth of local manufacture and decentralized supply chains, cultural and creative collaborations, investment infrastructure expansion, as well as e-commerce and digital technologies.

"The Summit will play a pivotal role in establishing new sustainable mechanisms for cooperation, manufacture, talent mobility, and market access among nations. I extend an invitation to industry professionals to take part in the BRICS+ Fashion Summit, and encourage Moscow residents and city visitors to attend the fashion shows and business program," expressed Sergei Sobyanin.
