Drawing from international academic programs that specialize in fashion, the program combines lectures and practical sessions to reimagine fashion through the lenses of craftsmanship and culture. The Fashion Intensive Course provides a unique opportunity for budding professionals to gain experience from different countries and enhance their professional credentials. This year’s course is expanding significantly, with the Advisory Board set to select 320 participants – nearly 3.5 times more than the previous year. The participants will receive personalized certificates after completing the program.

"By offering direct engagement with industry leaders and experts, the Fashion Intensive Course not only equips participants with practical and strategic tools but also encourages critical thinking about fashion’s evolving role in society, economy, and culture. The BRICS+ Fashion Summit provides a valuable forum for dialogue, connection, and strategic collaboration across regions with rich and dynamic fashion ecosystems. Its potential lies in offering visibility to a wide range of creative practices, business models, and cultural perspectives that contribute meaningfully to the fashion economy. Rather than viewing fashion through a singular lens, the Summit facilitates a more inclusive and interconnected perspective—one that highlights the importance of regional expertise and cross-border partnerships," says Bediz Yildirim, founder of Bediz Co and lecturer at Istanbul Fashion Academy (Turkey).

"In a world characterized by post-truth and post-modernism, where information is often fragmented and condensed into 15-second AI-generated videos, the Fashion Intensive Course gathers creative minds to explore fashion beyond transient trends and superficial information consumption. It takes into account new political and technological international agendas and brings together top-ranked researchers and lecturers from around the globe. Consequently, the knowledge exchanged among diverse thinkers from around the world fosters a cross-fertilized fashion ecosystem. Even though this collaboration occurs over just a few days, the ideas generated have the potential to inspire solutions for the global fashion industry in the years to come. For example, I specialize in topics such as new technologies and legislation for circular fashion, as well as fashion strategies for climate change beyond 2030. I am eager to share my expertise with students and colleagues during the event," says Luciana Duarte, lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands) and researcher at the Institute of Social Studies (ISS) of Erasmus University Rotterdam (Brazil).

"The Fashion Intensive Course serves not only as an educational platform but also as a catalyst for the industry's economic growth. Participants learn how to turn creative ideas into viable business models, while the exchange of international expertise allows for the adaptation of successful practices to local markets. The BRICS+ Fashion Summit cultivates an environment where innovative projects emerge—ranging from artisan workshops to global brands—that have the potential to strengthen the fashion economy," says Antonio Maurizio Grioli, Dean for Interior and Fashion at Pearl Academy (India).

Targeting emerging designers, students, young entrepreneurs, marketers, and creative professionals passionate about culture, craftsmanship, and ethical fashion, the Fashion Intensive Course is coordinated by Anna Rykova, renowned fashion editor, stylist, consultant, and lecturer across top Russian institutions (British Higher School of Art and Design, HSE Art and Design School), as well as Skillbox and Fashion Factory course author.

From August 28 to 31, the Fashion Intensive Course will take place at the Zapovednoye Posolstvo in Zaryadye Park, with sessions on September 1 and 2 at the Moscow Art Industrial Institute, British Higher School of Art and Design, Kosygin State University of Russia, Institute of Business and Design (B&D), and other leading Moscow universities.

Participants will explore how contemporary fashion collections can draw inspiration from traditional crafts and cultural heritage. They will learn how to incorporate sustainability principles into their business models, create brand narratives, and research cutting-edge, environmentally friendly materials and techniques.
