The international BRICS+ Fashion Summit opened at the Zaryadye Concert Hall and will run until August 30. The event will bring together designers, entrepreneurs, and specialists from 65 countries, including China, Brazil, India, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates, as announced by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.
“This is the third time Moscow is hosting the BRICS Fashion Summit. Experts from around the world gather here to discuss joint projects, attract investment, apply modern technologies, and explore key directions for the industry’s development,”Natalia Sergunina stated.
Alongside the business program, the summit features the Native Motives exhibition, showcasing traditional costumes from the Ural region, Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Yakutia, Kabardino-Balkaria, and other parts of Russia. The exhibit includes authentic pieces such as a late 19th-century dress decorated with hammered coins, traditional headdresses, and sarafans, as well as modern designs inspired by these cultural elements.
Attendees will also enjoy runway shows by international designers from Brazil, Turkey, South Africa, Guatemala and other countries.
Additionally, the Fashion Intensive Course is taking place for emerging professionals. Seventy-five selected participants, chosen by the Advisory Board, attend lectures led by domestic and international experts at various venues. The program covers topics including entry into international markets and brand promotion through social media.
