The event will take place from November 28 through December 2 in Zaryadye Park, under the auspices of the Moscow Fashion Week. It will bring together fashion professionals, experts from the clothing and footwear industry, bloggers, teachers, and emerging designers from all across the globe. The course will include daily workshops and lectures. The program is expected to be 30 classroom hours long. All the participants of the course will get their certificates in the end.
Entries are accepted at
the official website of the event till November 7. 120 participants will be shortlisted by the Expert Board, which includes fashion and design officials from the top Moscow-based universities. In the first place, they will consider fashion workers, as well as students or graduates that have taken courses in consumer good technologies, fine and decorative arts, fashion design, economics and management, advertising and public relations. However, the Expert Board will also take into account the motivation letters submitted by applicants.
The classes will be given by lecturers from Russia, China, India, Columbia, Brazil, South Africa, and top fashion schools of the world. The intensive course will be curated by Anna Rykova, who is not just a stylist and a creative consultant, but also an author of fashion courses on popular educational platforms, curator and lecturer at the British Higher School of Art and Design.
Speakers from different countries will share their unique expertise and explain how national heritage can be integrated into contemporary designs. Participants of the course will learn about the most advanced materials, sustainable and ethical production, product analysis and testing, proper brand positioning, and fashion business management specifics.
Thanks to this course, emerging designers will get a chance to gain insights into the global trends and processes taking place in the world’s fashion industry today. Besides, they will be inspired to look for some innovative solutions for the businesses of their own. This opportunity will enable specialists in the fashion field, or those aspiring to enter it, to build a successful career. The course will also be helpful for those who want to design new products and launch them in the Russian and international fashion markets. The Moscow Fashion Week is arranged by the Fashion Fund and powered by the Moscow Government. The course ‘Fashion industry going global. Starting locally to get a successful global brand’ will be supported by the Agency of Creative Industries.
BRICS+ Fashion Summit will continue the Moscow Fashion Week initiative. The first Fashion Week took place in the Russian capital in June 2022 and saw 1.6+ million visitors and participants.
