In three years, the BRICS+ Fashion Summit has united around 600 Russian and international designers, executives from leading companies, industry association experts, and journalists from 109 countries — including China, Brazil, Turkey, Indonesia, Serbia, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, and South Africa. The news was shared by Natalia Sergunina, Deputy Mayor of Moscow.

“Major events like the BRICS+ Fashion Summit play an important role in promoting Russian brands on the global stage. Alongside our international colleagues, we present our strengths and potential, discuss promising directions for the industry, and agree on mutual support and joint projects,” noted Natalia Sergunina.

Thanks to the summit, Russian designers — including many from Moscow — have been able to grow their business connections and receive invitations to international fashion events. They have already visited India, Tunisia, Costa Rica, South Africa, and Ethiopia, with upcoming trips planned to China, Guatemala, and Nicaragua.

Tradition, Digitalization, Investment

This year’s BRICS+ Fashion Summit takes place in Moscow from August 28 to 30. More than 250 international experts are attending: 48 percent are newcomers to the forum, while 52 percent have returned once again.

The business program covers topics such as the use of digital tools in fashion design, the role of artificial intelligence, investment opportunities, the development of related industries, and innovative materials in production. Dedicated sessions have been arranged for South Africa and Brazil, as well as for Russia’s national culture.

The program also includes the Native Motifs Exhibition, showcasing both traditional costumes of Russia’s peoples and contemporary interpretations. Guests can also look forward to runway shows by international designers and an educational intensive designed for young professionals.
